I just installed the 64 bit version of Ilok Synthix and impossible to bring them up now with LOGIC 9.1.6. under : in the list of instruments, it is still 32 bits.
Did I miss something ? Here's what tells me LOGIC !

After extinction of my machine (MacPro) and restart LOGIC Synthix validated well and it goes smoothly. Sorry for the false alarm. ;)

no problems geronimo, thanks for your feedback.

To let OSX to know that something changed within the plug-in folder, you have to close the session and reopen it (or shut down your computer which can be longer).

It is the first time we are working on 64 buts plug-ins, so there are maybe some knowledge we are not aware of !

The major point is that, at this time, I don't know if it is possible, on OSX, to have the both 32bits and 64 bits versions with the same plug-in name (to keep project compatibility). On windows, you just have to install them in two different folders, setting your DAW to choose one or the other folder depending on its version (a 32 bits DAW can't launch a 64 bits plug-in)
On OSX, I really don't know. So if this feature is needed, advices are welcome !

Best regards

Hi geronimo,

It seems that I must change how I manage 32/64 bits. Until now the 32 bits version is compatible with Intel and power PC 32 bits DAW, and 64 bits version only with 64 bits version (that means that it can't be launched in a 32 bits application)

Maybe I should provide a 32 bits powerPC and a 32/64 bits intel compatible versions.
I will check this !

Best regards

Just wanted to say that the 64 bit Synthix is very stable and solid in latest OSX Lion 10.7.2, with latest Logic 9.1.6.

Also, I bought the Synthax presets, and they're terrific! Great starting points for new sounds, and darn good on their own.

Great work from your sound designers, and of course the synth itself sounds wonderful. XILS products are among the very best out there in terms of sound quality.

Thanks for your feedback and your kind comments Ischefman !

I just want to tell you that I found the problem with the Audio Unit version of the other plug-ins.
I need to build a new installer (maybe directly build the x64 version) and est it before the release. So a few days (week) to wait.

Best
