XILS 3 1.5.0 Import/Export Bank doesn't do anything :-(

I just installed XILS 3 1.5.0. I'm using the 32-bit version in a 32-bit host on a 64-bit Windows 7 system. I want to import my Xilistics soundbanks but unfortunately the import function from the menu doesn't work here. When I select Import Bank then normally I should get a Windows Explorer window to select the file, but sadly nothing happens. Same with Export function.

Is this a bug? Looks like one to me. Just installed polyKB II too and can import a bank through the menu with no problem..

I really need to install the Xilistics soundbank soon, so any help is highly appreciated!

yes, it's a bug I'm working on !
I hope to upload a new version today (maybe tomorrow)

Each time I'm fixing a bug and upload a version I must test:
2 plug-ins (instrument and exf) X 2 systems (mac and windows) X 2 formats (32 and 64 bits) X 2 protection (eLicense and iLok) = 16 tests to do !

So sometime I upload a version without doing all these tests and sometime a bug is entering, mostly bring by the installer (the internal code is almost the same for all the versions, hopefully ! )

Ok, thanks for your fast reply and your hard work!

About the installer. I also missed the option to choose whether I would like to install 32-bit version, 64-bit version, or both. Only both seems to be the option, but I can't use the 64-bit version on a 32-bit host, so it's not usefull to me to have both installed.

Hi Niels,

Here's a workaround that "should" work :

The idea is to replace the current patch soundpool by your ancient one ( So you must have access to your ancient complete library, and eventually the machine where it was installed )

So :
1/ Locate the folder where your Xils3 patches are stored. Copy it and save it for eventual restore purposes under another name ( like my_librayry_old )
2/ Go to your ancient system/installation and zip your ancient folder, or copy it it directly to a USB key.
3/ Delete all patches in your freshly installed Xils 3 folder ( so you have now an empty folder, and its copy under another name )
4/ In your empty folder unzip or copy all the patches from your ancient install.
5/ You should now have access to the xilistic soundset.

I just uploaded the 1.5 version
I tested import/export bank on OSX, windows 7 and windows XP.
All seems to work fine.

The OSX iLok is not already uploaded, will do it soon

Hi Xavier, this bug still seems to be there in the Windows version of the XILS 3 LE. I can't import any banks on the latest (1.0.8) version

Did you only fix this bug in the full version? If so, please also fix it asap in the LE version too

I have a problem : I just download and install the 1.0.8 on a windows 7 (64 bits ) system.
Then :
_ Launch the 64 bits in a 64 bits application (vsthost64)
_ Export a bank
_ Import the bank

_ Launch the 32 bits in a 32 bits application (vsthost)
_ Export a bank
_ Import the bank

All seemed to work fine.

So could you give me more informations : It is a issue with a previous created bank ? related with the application ?
Do you see the browsing file modal windows ?

Hmmm strange. I also have just downloaded (yesterday) the LE version 1.0.8 and installed it on my Win 7 (64-bit).

I'm using the 32-bit version, because my host MuLab 4 is also 32-bit. The plugin loads fine, but when I try to Import or Export a bank, then nothing happens. I don't get a file browser Window, to browse for the bank-file.

I've just downloaded and installed VSTHost 32-bit and opened XILS 3 LE and clicked on import Bank, but then nothing happens either, exactly the same as in MuLab 4.

So on my system, which is also Win 7 (64-bit) it doesn't work, while apparently on yours it does.
