LFO for panning

Postby Quality Petrol » Sun Jul 01, 2012 6:45 pm

Hi, just a quick note about weird LFO behavior when it's used for panning. I think I got the basic outset right: the main outputs are fully panned to the extremes. Nothing is modulating the LFO in any way. In the modulation matrix, I connect the LFO with positive and negative polarity to the output level 1 & 2. I have the LFO set to a triangle and the width to 50%, which I assume is a regular triangle shape (I tried all width settings btw, to exclude this as the cause of the problem). So everything is set up: I get panning of the signal, but it is always biased towards the side that's getting the positive modulation. The bias is so strong that the perceived signal never even crosses the middle of the stereo field. When I switch the positive and negative modulation (the triangle and the ball), the bias changes towards the other side. I don't get this wrong behaviour when using an oscillator triangle for panning. The LFO behaves perfectly normal for other modulation duties such as filter modulation.

I hope we can establish some kind of communication, I have posted reports on several issues and bugs with my Xils products. My posts have stayed without reply for two weeks now... please also read my other posts. Or is this not the correct way to contact the creators of Xils products about issues?

Hi,

i was just reading your posts here. I am not an official Xils Lab coworker but i am currently participating in the Beta test for the upcoming Oxium synth.
Xavier and Lotuzia currently have tons of work with finishing the Oxium synth and with evaluating the factory presets for it (+ doing demos, posting at KVR etc. and Lotuzia doing presets himself).

I am sure they will answer all your questions soon. Usually they are fast with answering questions but this seems to be a special situation.

You could also try to fill out the contact form here:
